NPR and me

Well, I have taken a big step out of character in the last few weeks. Thats right, I have been working. Whether as a glorified (not really) home ec teacher, or an "account rep", I have been working for the man for going on 3 weeks now. The title "account rep" is really just bullshit. I mean, a title like that implies that I am working on accounts and dealing with people, thus "representing" the "account". This is not at all what I do. I scan documents into the network and then label them. It is a laborious and boring task, and only one thing has kept me alive. You guessed it, NPR. Ah, the sweet bastion of intellectual talk radio. I have a steady stream of information pouring into my head 8 hours a day. Is this making me smarter? Probably not. It is, however, between the endless discussion of political topics, filling my brain with more useless knowledge than ever. So ask me about it some time, I just love to talk about all the strange and quirky junk I hear about on there (ask Ray, he knows). For instance, did you know that the lynx population in northern Canada is very numerous right now because of all the rabbits? I shit you not. Did you further know that the surface of a comet looks like the U.S. southwest's monument valley? Its true, some scientist said so. Finally, did you know that the name "James Bond" is also the name of Ian Flemmings favorite orinthologist? I know, I know, these are all intriguing facts, and I could continue, but alas, I must go and eat or something.

Later,
Z

P.S. a cucumber is a fruit.
